NoGap Laboratory
Creative space, concrete opportunities
where making creates the future
The beating heart of NoGap
The NoGap Laboratory is a creative and productive space where making becomes a tool for personal growth, learning and building new opportunities. Here, art is a shared experience: a place to experiment, learn, express oneself and transform ideas and marks into concrete projects.
Research into Art Brut gave rise to the NoGap Alphabet, a living collection of letters, words and symbols built over time through the work of the group. A constantly evolving vocabulary, capable of transforming individual expression into a shared visual language.
From this process, the association’s other workshops have developed. With ReLegArt, words and artworks become prints in the screen-printing workshop, fabrics and handmade pieces in the sewing workshop, and objects in the ceramics workshop led by RosarJa. The collaboration with Sabrina Pellati and her Stoffette has also introduced the group to the art of furoshiki and creative giftwrapping, opening up new ways of storytelling through materials and gestures.
Everything begins with art and with a reflection on Art Brut, understood as a practice that places freedom of expression at the centre.
